LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Thanks from the Friends of the Library

Thanks from the Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Pahrump Community Library held their Big Book Sale on March 21st and 22nd. A very successful event, all profits will go toward the support of our Pahrump library.

We wish to express our thanks for this success to many in our community. To the Nugget Casino for the use of their conference center and equipment; local media, KNYE Radio, the Mirror, the Pahrump Valley Times and the Land Office for advertising the event; and to the Friends of the Library who volunteered to organize and manage the sale.

Most of all, we wish to thank the many people who donated books this year. We look forward to seeing you next year.

Phyllis Alvis

Letters to the Editor

I am happy that the election campaigning is over, but most of all the absence of political ads from both parties, blatantly lying about their opponents.
