NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE STATE OF NEVADA’S RECOVERY HOUSING PROGRAM 2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN PURPOSE OF THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The State of Nevada has drafted and made available for public review and comment on the STATE of NEVADA ANNUAL ACTION PLAN for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development: Recovery Housing Program. Beginning September 1st, 2026, the State will receive $1,031,721.00 in funding from HUD for the Recovery Housing Program. The Recovery Housing Program under Federal Register Notice NO. FR-6225-N-01 as authorized under Section 8071 of the SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act, entitled Program to Help Individuals in Recovery from a substance use disorder become stably housed, herein referred to as the Recovery Housing Program (RHP). The pilot program authorized assistance to grantee (states) to provide stable, temporary housing (up to 2 years) to individuals in recovery from substance use disorder. Copies of the plan are available for public review and comment beginning July 29th, 2026, on the Governor’s Office of Economic Development website https://goed.nv.gov/programs/cdbg/ under Plans.
