IIJA-Funded Transmission Right-of-Way
Clearing Project
Valley Electric Association, Inc. (VEA) is requesting sealed bid proposals from qualified contractors for vegetation management, fuel reduction, access improvements, and restoration activities associated with approximately 12 miles of existing 138-kV transmission right-of-way located in the Mountain Springs, Nevada area. This project is funded in part through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) under DOE Grant Agreement DE-GD0000029. Qualified contractors are invited to submit proposals in accordance with the requirements contained within the Request for Proposals (RFP) package. The complete RFP package, project maps, and supporting documents may be obtained at: www.vea.coop/wildfire-mitigation Questions Due: October 2, 2026 - 5:00pm
Proposal Due Date: November 13, 2026 - 5:00pm
Valley Electric Association reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and award the contract in the best interest of the cooperative.
