Local resident Michael Rippie was jailed after allegedly threatening a sheriff’s deputy and BLM Ranger Friday afternoon near Fox and Martin avenues just before 4 p.m. Rippie, who was also threatening suicide, was eventually arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon roughly an hour after deputies responded to the scene.
