Though same-sex marriages are recognized in Nevada, the Nevada State Constitution currently defines marriage as between a male and a female. Nevada Statewide Ballot Question 2 proposes to amend the state constitution’s definition of marriage to include same-sex couples, in concurrence with a 2015 ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court.
