Pahrump resident Heidi Fleiss, pictured with two of her more than two dozen pet birds is working to establish a future exotic bird sanctuary in town for all varieties of birds. Last month, Fleiss said one of her birds was captured by an individual who claimed the bird was being mistreated. Fleiss eventually persuaded the person to return the bird to her unharmed.
