Karl Olson, the caretaker of Rhyolite was recognized for his efforts of watching over the town during the Nevada Archaeological Association’s 49th annual Banquet Awards Dinner Meeting at the Pahrump Nugget, on Saturday March 7. Olson also happens to the sole resident of the historic town, roughly 80 miles northwest of Pahrump.
