Whomever classified Pahrump as one of the worst small towns obviously doesn't think living in a small town is politically correct. What they are missing is that people who are here are here to get away from people like them. Pahrump isn't perfect but it is just what I wanted and I am here to die.

I am a senior, married, a veteran, on a fixed income, raised and educated a daughter here and of course I play bingo and gamble here.

This town does have a few oddballs as does any town or city. Let's not forget, small towns in America like Pahrump are what this country was built on.

Maybe the best thing for those of us who like it here are for people to keep judging us so badly. There are people who come through Pahrump from all over the world. Myself, I don't go anywhere as I am happy where I am. Maybe so many come here because they need to get away from their politically correct home and weather? Like or leave it.
