A familiar sight at state and region track and field meets for a few years: Beatty’s Jose Granados on the medal stand, this time after winning the 1,600 meters at the 2018 Class 1A Track & Field Championships. Granados won nine region titles and four state titles during his time at Beatty, despite missing his senior season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
