October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and in keeping with it, the local Curves for Women at 301 S. Oxbow Ave., Suite 9, is offering to donate $10 to breast cancer research for every punch card it sells.

The Pahrump Valley Museum and Historical Society will host its next lecture in the series at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 at the museum, 410 E. Basin Ave. The guest speaker will be Don McDermott.
