Truck driver misjudges height of VEA drive-thru payment lane

A commercial vehicle attempting to enter the drive-thru payment area of Valley Electric Association struck the top of the clearance guard causing significant damage to both. The maximum clearance of the drive-thru area was labeled as nine feet. The vehicle, however, was slightly taller. The collision occurred just after 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19. No injuries were reported.
