Senior Noel Gutierrez clears the last hurdle during Friday’s 300-meter hurdles race at Del Sol Academy in Las Vegas. Gutierrez, the Class 1A state champion as a sophomore, owns Class 1A’s best time (44.94 seconds) in the event and ranks third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 18.64 set April 17 at Chaparral High School.
