The International Chili Society and Silver State Chili Cook-Off returned to Petrack Park this past weekend, bringing chili aficionados from all over the country for two days of delicious competition.

This venerable first weekend in November tradition kicks off another a busy round of arts and culture events in and on the southeastern edge of Death Valley National Park.

The lazy days of summer wind down to an end this Labor Day weekend. As we say good-bye let’s enjoy the holiday with some crazy delicious barbecued chicken. Sound good? I thought so.
