Special Olympics news:

On Aug. 9 there will be a Moose Lodge donation dinner from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Moose Lodge #808 at 1100 2nd St.

On Aug. 23 there will be Bowling for the Gold from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nugget Bowling Center

Pahrump Special Olympics is seeking coaches in the following sports:

Bowling (Mondays) Softball (Tuesdays) Golf (Thursdays) and Soccer (Saturdays). Please call 775-537-2175 if you can help or would like additional information.

Pahrump Special Olympics is starting its pilot softball program this fall. If you can help, the following equipment is needed: Batting tee, set of bases, 12" softballs, bats and gloves. Please call 775-537-2175 if you can help or would like additional information.

Bowling News:

Results of the Certified Whoops Singles Tournament sponsored by All Star Real Estate.

Prize winners were: A Division: Dale Bystedt 876, Frank Medina 852 and Jerry Adams 822.

B Division: Jeff Wiest 851, Lorena Myers 806 and R.J. Lloyd 803.

State Champion Alumni Soccer Camp:

The camp is for middle school girls entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade. It will be Aug. 3 - 7, 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. The alumni will run the camp for the girls. The cost will be $60 to benefit PVHS girls soccer. We are excited to see our alumni and work with them again.
