DAV shows appreciation for coverage from newspaper

JROTC, Key Club provide community services

As Pahrump Valley High School’s JROTC program is welcoming upward of 70 additional cadets for the new fall semester, the program’s Lt. Col. Patrick Nary hopes most of the students will remain after the first several weeks.

BANGOR, Washington – A 2004 Pahrump Valley High School graduate and Pahrump native is serving in the U.S. Navy as part of a crew working aboard one of the world’s most advanced ballistic missile submarines, the USS Henry M. Jackson.

Moose Lodge donates school supplies

Members of the Pahrump Moose Lodge presented the Nye County School District with scores of back-to-school supplies for the new semester on that started Monday. Each year the lodge donates the much-needed supplies for students in the Pahrump attendance area.
