Ash Meadows stargazing

Although the Point of Rocks walking trail in Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge can be used for watching bighorn sheep, there will be a little after-dark gazing at the stars from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 18. The group will meet at Point of Rocks Spring. The event is free.

Fifth annual PDOP event at Ian Deutch Memorial Park next weekend

As the cooler weather begins to creep in showing signs of fall, and the sizzling heat of summer has passed, Pahrump is once again gearing up to host the annual Pahrump Disabilities Outreach Program Pumpkin Days event Oct. 24 from 3 p.m to 9 p.m., Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Ian Deutch Memorial Park.

Sixth annual craft fair at Artesia Oct. 24 – 25

An early Christmas shopping event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25 in the Artesia Community Center on the south side of Pahrump. It also includes a bake sale.
