‘White Lies” Trojans show their school spirit during regional basketball tournament

It was Trojans game to win Tuesday evening, but a late seventh-inning surge by league rival The Meadows turned the tide in dramatic 9-6 comeback victory in Pahrump.

Horseshoe pitchers swapped their Sunday brunch for a day on the courts as the Shoes & Brews Pro/Am Doubles tournament brought spirited competition to Gilcrease Brothers Park in Las Vegas.

Spring competition is in full swing for the Nevada State Horseshoe Pitching Association, as standout performances in Pahrump and Las Vegas highlighted two recent successful tournaments.

It was a perfect afternoon for golf as Rosemary Clarke Middle School’s boys team kicked off their season at Henderson, navigating a challenging 9-hole course at Revere Golf Club with poise.

The Trojans boys golf program secured three top-ten finishes in a competitive field of 33. Junior Travis Floyd led the way with a fifth-place finish, followed closely by Aaron Rily in seventh and senior Cayden Cowley in eighth.

Back on their home track for the first time since mid-March, the Pahrump Valley Trojans made the most of the opportunity, showcasing versatility and emerging talent across nearly every event.

Pahrump Valley delivered a composed and efficient performance Wednesday night, defeating Cristo Rey St. Viator in four sets, 3–1, behind a dominant showing from senior Andy Sanchez.

From an extra-inning showdown to dominant pitching performances, the Trojans are proving they’re a force to be reckoned with in the Class 3A South Mountain League.

The Lady Trojans brought the brooms to Mesquite—and didn’t leave without using them, pulling away in the sixth inning for a 6–2 win to complete a two-game sweep of Virgin Valley to begin league play.
