Trojans girls soccer beat Mojave; remain in contention for first place

The Lady Trojans defeated Mojave on Monday 4-0 and kept their chances of finishing in first place alive with just three games remaining in the season.

Kaitlyn Carrington helped the Trojans to victory with three goals and Sydney Dennis had one.

Vaniah Vitto had one assist, and Kathy Niles had two assists.

The Trojans (11-4-1 overall, 5-1-1 Sunset League) are away at Desert Pines (2-9, 1-6) today at 4:30 p.m. They finish the season next week, battling Cheyenne (8-5-4, 5-1-1) at home on Tuesday at 3 p.m., and then Western (9-4-3, 5-0-2) away on Thursday at 3 p.m. Three wins could give the Trojans first place.
