Trojans offense slowly improving

The Trojans are well into their preseason and beat Moapa Valley on Tuesday for their second preseason win, improving to a 2-4 record.

Trojans coach Brian Hayes said his team is getting better.

“We saw some improvement in the game versus Moapa,” the coach said. “Willie and Garrett Lucas did a good job on the mound. Defensively, we made a few mistakes, but played well enough to get the win. Offensively, Parker Hart, Cyle Havel, Willie Lucas and Anthony Charles all had two hits. Outside of Drew Walker, who walked three times, we didn’t have much success elsewhere.”

The Trojans’ next home game will be on Monday against Chaparral (4-2-1) at 3:30 p.m.
