Pahrump Valley Speedway news:

From the Pahrump Valley Times we wish Chad Broadhead a speedy recovery and hearty get well soon. Broadhead, the owner of the Pahrump Valley Speedway went into the hospital yesterday. The speedway awards banquet was scheduled for this weekend but was canceled until January.

Trojans Junior Basketball signups

Attention all third-to-sixth graders:

Junior Trojans Basketball is having registration and evaluations on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 9 a.m. to noon; and Tuesday, Dec. 6 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at J.G. Johnson Elementary.

The fee is $40 and includes a team jersey. Plan on being there for at least 30 minutes.

For kindergarten-second grade, starting Jan. 6 there is a basketball fundamentals program from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
