Here’s who has filed for public office in Nye County — so far

The list of candidates seeking public office in Nye County is growing.

In addition to a Nye County Sheriff race that could see as many as five candidates, four candidates have filed for Nye County Clerk as of Thursday morning, including: Republicans Ian Bayne, Andrew Caccavale and Mark F. Kampf, and Darryl James Lackey, who did not indicate a party at his time of filing.

Those who plan to run for public office in Nye County will have until 5 p.m. Friday to file as a candidate.

As of Thursday morning, no candidates have field to run for a trustee seat on the Nye County School Board, representing Area III (Pahrump districts 11, 16 and 27).

Only one Democrat has filed to run for a partisan office in Nye County: Nicholas Anthony Del Vecchio, a Las Vegas lawyer who will challenge incumbent Republican Chris Arabia and Republican Brian T. Kunzi for District Attorney.
