New drug and alcohol rehab center opens in Pahrump

A leading drug and alcohol rehabilitation center recently opened in town to help residents cope with addiction issues.

Solutions Recovery Inc., who is based out of Las Vegas, opened their doors at 1306 E. Calvada Blvd. on June 1.

The facility offers intensive outpatient addiction treatments 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for adults 18 years of age and older.

“Overcoming addiction requires effective treatment and a strong support system, and our new location offers life-changing therapies in an area that has long been underserved for these services,” said David Marlon, president with Solutions Recovery. “By providing outpatient treatment, our goal is to help community members address significant substance abuse issues while still sustaining the important professional and personal aspects of their daily lives.”

The Pahrump IOP program includes individual assessments free of charge to discover treatment needs, group therapy, individual therapy and continued care planning. The program also provides detox services for clients experiencing alcohol or drug withdrawals.

Solutions Recovery staff works with each client to create customized treatment plans accommodating individuals’ unique lifestyles, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, special needs and any additional details affecting their recovery.

According to a health survey put out by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, 14 percent of Nye County’s population are deemed excessive drinkers. That is above the national average of 10 percent, but below the state average of 18 percent.

“Solutions Recovery’s mission focuses on addiction as a treatable disease, and we plan to provide a safe and supportive environment for recovery at our new office,” Marlon said. “We are eager to help Pahrump community members regain their sobriety and quality of life.”
