Mild temps and chance of rain ahead for the valley
As we head into the last weekend before Christmas, Pahrump will see some pleasant weather to start out, but changes could be on the way.
Friday and Saturday will see temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s according the National Weather Service, keeping things just at, or above average for this time of year.
As Saturday night rolls around chances of precipitation will be present, with a weather system moving into the area.
"We have a front moving through Saturday afternoon into the evening," said National Weather Service meteorologist Chris Outler. "So we'll see some breezy conditions and a chance of showers through Sunday morning."
Once the system passes through, cooler temperatures are forecast, with high temps just below average for a couple of days, before rising toward normal temperatures once again.
"We'll have high temperatures in the lower 50s Sunday into Monday, but then we'll warm back up again in the middle of next week."
High temperatures will be in the upper 50s by Wednesday, before another system moves into Pahrump, which will bring precipitation chances Christmas Day.
If the conditions are right, the valley may even see a white Christmas, but it's too far out to forecast anything definite.
