Pahrump Nugget goes live with upgraded marquee
As a popular hotel and casino prepares to celebrate a major milestone in town, the establishment has upgraded its outside marquee to bring the property into the new times.
The Pahrump Nugget Hotel and Casino updated its sign off of Highway 160, which went live Wednesday afternoon.
The video board was upgraded with a state-of-the-art screen and two of the bigger attractions, bowling and bingo, were also added to the sign with light-up lettering.
“It allows us to push out property information, along with community announcements, such as Santa meet-and-greets, fundraisers, blood drives and that type of thing,” said Jeremy Jenson, Vice President of Golden Casino Group. “It allows us to communicate more efficiently with our guests as far as gaming promotions and cafe specials, bowling, anything we want to promote on the fly.
“It’s a big upgrade from what we had in the past, I mean the property is 15 years old coming up this month and it takes us out of the stone age.”
The marquee upgrade was an eight-week process for the hotel-casino, and the property used local sign company High Impact Sign and Design to carry out the work for them.
The upgrade is the latest happening at the Nugget as it prepares to celebrate its 15th anniversary.
The bingo room, dubbed ‘The Bingo Vault’ was recently remodeled, featuring new bingo game technology and player-friendly programs. The Bingo Vault also features an enclosed smoking section and a non-smoking area.
The gaming group has also introduced a new players’ card called Gold Mine Rewards, which features a single-card solution enabling all guests (gaming and retail) to earn rewards across all three Pahrump sites, The Nugget, Gold Town Casino and Lakeside Casino and RV Park.
Lastly, the Nugget’s sports book is being moved and remodeled and in its former space will go a lounge, which will allow for more frequent entertainment at the hotel and casino, Jenson said.
To celebrate the Nugget’s 15th anniversary, the property will have special promotions running through the day on March 26.
Starting at 10 a.m., players who earn 15 points will receive a 15th anniversary T-shirt and beginning at noon until 4 p.m., $150 cash hot seat drawings will take place every 30 minutes during that four-hour period.
