Gov. Sandoval names 2 to Nevada Commission on Tourism

Gov. Brian Sandoval announced the appointment Brian Krolicki and Bob Cashell to the Nevada Commission on Tourism.

Krolicki and Cashell, who both have served previously on the commission in their respective roles as lieutenant governors, will serve for terms that will expire in July 2018.

“Brian Krolicki and Bob Cashell have both dedicated their lives to making Nevada a better place to live, work and raise a family,” Sandoval said in a recent statement. “They will both serve as excellent ambassadors for our state and I am pleased they were willing to take on a new role in public service.”

Bob Cashell served as Reno mayor for 12 years and previously served as Nevada’s 28th lieutenant governor and a member of the Nevada System of Higher Education Board of Regents. Cashell is a prominent member of the business and gaming community, having managed several properties and owning Cashell Enterprises, a hotel and casino company.

Krolicki served as Nevada’s 33rd lieutenant governor. Among other duties, he served as chairman of the Commission on Tourism and led several tourism missions to Asia. He also served as a member of the Reno Tahoe Winter Games Coalition, which was dedicated to bringing the Winter Olympics back to Lake Tahoe. Previously, he served two terms as the Nevada state treasurer.
