Letter to the Editor

Reader protests editorial column

I seldom publicly register complaints regarding items published in either of Pahrump’s newspapers. However, I must protest Matt Ward’s editorial of November 29, 2013, that was beyond any kind of good journalism.

Editors are free to express opinions, which is why it’s called an “editorial,” but expressing an opinion regarding any recall effort as he has done because “he needs to have the recall targets remain in office to sell newspapers” is hypocritical at best. To take two-thirds of a page for this purpose is not journalism. The PVT does not need to sell newspapers that badly.
