Democrats lead in Nevada voter registration

Nevada Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske reports an increase of 5,955 active registered voters statewide during the month of July 2017, as compared to June 2017.

The total number of active registered voters in Nevada is 1,478,214, an increase of 0.40 percent from the prior month.

Of the 1,478,214 active registered voters in Nevada:

■ 579,848 are Democrats (39.23 percent)

■ 489,265 are Republicans (33.10 percent)

■ 310,993 are Nonpartisan (21.04 percent);

■ 65,448 are members of the Independent American Party (4.43 percent)

■ 14,046 are members of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (0.95 percent)

■ 18,614 are members of other minor political parties (1.26 percent)
