Free swim day on July 4

The Pahrump Valley Cruisers car club is sponsoring a free swim day at the Pahrump Community Pool on July 4th for families.

The pool is open at noon and stays open to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6 p.m. on Friday and until 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Independence Day parade

Get in early on the Independence Day parade at 9 a.m., on July 4, at the Calvada Eye.

There will be a pancake breakfast from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. for $3.

UNCE Garden Tour

University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will host a Vegetable and Herb Garden Tour, Saturday, June 29, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Ticket prices are $3 per person, children are free. Purchase your ticket by June 28 to be eligible for the raffle drawing. Winners can pick up their prizes at one of the garden sites.

Tickets are available at the Cooperative Extension office, at the Farmer’s Market at Star Nursery on Tuesdays from 8 to 11 a.m., and at the Farmer’s Market at Petrack Park on Saturdays from 8 to 11 a.m.

Free Swimming

St. Martin’s in the Desert Episcopal Church and the NyE Communities Coalition are sponsoring free swimmimg days for the community at the Pahrump Town Pool.

Free swimming days are July 14, and August 11, from noon to 7 p.m.

Farmers’ Market

Locally grown produce and locally produced crafts are for sale at the Farmer’s Market, being held on Saturdays, from 8 to 11 a.m., at Petrack Park.

The farmer’s Market at Star Nursery is open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays.

The markets are sponsored by the Pahrump Master Gardeners from the Cooperative Extension. For more information, call 727-5532.

Fall Festival needs

volunteers

The Pahrump Fall Festival will be held Sept. 26, 27, 28 and 29 this year. The festival will be put together by Town staff and any 501c3 organizations that wish to help.

Many volunteers are needed for the Arts and Crafts group. If you and your organization would like to be involved, contact Jan Lindsay at 751-5282, evenings, or at treebanks@pahrump.com.

Gunfighters wanted

Pahrump Gunfighters, an award-winning local group, who perform gunfights and skits at events in Pahrump, is looking for new members.
