The Painted Lady Saloon

1330 5th Street

310-492-3036

Age: 55

Background: “I had this dream that I had opened up this bar and it was a cowboy bar. I was looking for an antique bar and it came up in Pahrump. I called about it and we negotiated a price. This will be my first bar but I was a bartender for three years.”

First job: “Delivering newspapers was my first job.”

Personal: “I like to play music to relax. I played in Nashville with notable session artists and I like to sing.”

Business climate: “I wanted to open this bar in Pahrump because Las Vegas has a million bars. I want this place to be clean and not a dive bar. A good, clean, neat place where people can come and have a good conversation. I really haven’t found a place like that in Pahrump. The bar is an antique bar from San Francisco and was made around 1860. This bar will be a place people can listen to good music and have a good drink and nice conversation. We will be open hopefully in mid-September and we are near Irene’s.”
