Suspect in shooting at Tatuado Wild Side arrested

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect Tuesday from a shooting incident at Vince Neil’s Tatuado Wild Side Tavern.

Jack Freeland Allen was taken into custody and charged with preliminary counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon, discharge a firearm where a person might be endangered and discharge firearm out of a vehicle.

Allen is accused of shooting another man in the foot at the local bar, at around 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police noted that the bar patron was about one foot away from the bartender. Allen immediately fled the scene in a red Chevrolet dually pickup truck.

The victim was shot in the foot and received medical treatment at Desert View Hospital, police said.

On Sunday, sheriff’s deputies responded to a reference for a wanted person. The individual was identified as Allen and he was taken into custody without incident.

A firearm was collected from Allen’s vehicle, police said.

A warrant was later served on Allen’s residence and vehicle. A single shell casing was found in Allen’s vehicle, which matched several bullets that were located within his residence, according to police.

Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the Nye County Sheriff’s Office at 775-751-7000 or via email confidentially at sheriff@co.nye.nv.us.
