Unknown man steals $3,000 in surveillance equipment from NCSD building

An unknown man stole several thousand dollars’ worth of video equipment off of a Nye County School District building in town.

The Nye County Sheriff’s office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, who stole around $3,000 worth of surveillance equipment off an unnamed NCSD building.

The incident occurred on April 20, when deputies from the patrol division received reports of larceny from the NCSD.

The suspect was seen on camera removing and stealing high-quality security cameras from the side of a school district building.

When captured, the suspect will be charged with a preliminary count of grand larceny.
