Wednesday: Hazy and hot; high near 104 degrees

Wednesday will see widespread haze with areas of smoke, according the The National Weather Service. The Bluecut Fire near El Cajon, California is responsible for the hazy conditions.

Neighboring Clark County issued an Air Quality Advisory for potentially elevated levels of ozone and smoke, running from Wednesday morning through Friday. The same precautions advised by Clark should also be taken in Pahrump.

Today’s high will top out near 104 degrees. South wind six to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Tonight will be mostly clear, with a low around 73 degrees. South-southwest wind 7 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the evening.
