Tail’s End pet party huge success thanks to volunteers and staff

Tail’s End, the Animal Shelter for Nye County, would like to thank our friends and neighbors who came out to support our Christmas Party “From Our Pups to Your Pups” on Saturday, December 13 at Tail’s End including all the wonderful people who volunteered their time for the day. Thanks to the efforts of all the shelter staff and volunteers, the day was a huge success.

Thank you to Andrea Phipps for the loan of the canopy, chairs and tables, they really did help our visitors and gave them places to sit while they were playing with the puppies that were available for adoption.

An additional special thank you goes out to the staff and volunteers from the Shelter who came out on their own time to lend a hand with our visitors, dogs and cats. And thank you to Dr. Anthony McCorkle who joined us to do low-cost shots. The entire community appreciates the opportunity to take care of their pets.

Although the initial goal of this fun event was to introduce the community to Tail’s End, The Animal Shelter for Nye County, it ended up being an adoption marathon starting the day before and ending the following Monday – in all 12 dogs/puppies went to forever homes.

All of the adoptive families are deeply appreciated by Tail’s End staff and volunteers and especially by the adopted new four-legged family members. It is because of the kindness, generosity and compassion of these special people that our pets can look forward to a long happy life in wonderful homes here in Pahrump.

Tail’s End is a 501©3 non- profit Animal Shelter, it is our goal to match people with the perfect four-legged forever friend, but we also function as the Animal Shelter for Nye County adding the influx of lost/stray dogs, cats, puppies, kittens and assorted other animals, custody dogs and cats as well as quarantined animals. Needless to say we have animals coming and going very nearly minute to minute 7 days a week.

If you are interested in donating to Tail’s End, your gift is tax deductible. Our tax ID number is 26-1424911. If you would like more information about Tail’s End or would like to volunteer, please call Tonya at 775-751-6310.

Sincerely,

The Staff and Volunteers of Tail’s End Animal Shelter

Hope all Nye County residents are going to enjoy your gift from the BOCC. You say, “what gift?” Your stocking contained the ever-not-desirable solar fields.

Basically, what they are doing is taking away what we have saved for the winter months and not compensating us for what they have taken from us.
