The Pahrump Valley 500 Club, a bowling club at the Pahrump Valley Nugget, donated $345 to the Nye County Animal Shelter on Dec. 13. It was their annual Christmas donation.

Bowling News: Results of the Nine Pin No Tap Scotch Doubles Tournament sponsored by the Pahrump Nugget.

Prize winners were: A Division: Mary and Jerry Neese 902, Jean and Mike Reynolds 895, Margarete Caldwell and Joe Matassa 875.

B Division: Bev and George Dowell 943, Lorena Myers and Dan Struss 907, Barbara Wilson and Bill Downs 880.

Special Olympics: Our next sport will be basketball and it will start on January 3 at PVHS in the old 9th grade academy gym, I think they refer to it as gym A from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.

Pahrump Special Olympics will begin its 2015 Winter Sports schedule of Basketball

at PVHS Building A Gym on Saturdays 10 am to noon-January 3rd thru March 7th

and Bocce Ball at Ian Deutch Memorial Park on Thursdays 3:15 pm to 5pm -

February 26th thru April 23rd.

So If you would like to become an Athlete in Special Olympics or participate in

We are always looking for folks who can spare 2 hours a week as volunteer
