Trojans boys soccer plays their last game of the season

Personal records, relay victories and strong performances across the track and field events highlighted a productive day at the Dave Butler Memorial Meet at Legacy High School.

The Pahrump Valley High School boys volleyball team opened its season at home last Wednesday but fell to Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas in straight sets.

Pahrump Valley High School cruised to an 11-1 win over Western High School, but head coach Drew Middleton says the Trojans have “much better baseball” to be played ahead.

The Nevada State Horseshoe Pitchers Association hosted its Winter Classic last Saturday at the Petrack Park Horseshoe Courts in Pahrump, where 13 players competed in two divisions under warm, spring-like conditions.

The PVTBC delivered another competitive weekend at the Pahrump Nugget Hotel and Casino, where Chris and Shaun Upton captured the Division A title and Nancy Glynn and Joe Lopez led Division B.

In his first varsity tournament at the helm, new Pahrump Valley High School head coach Drew Middleton couldn’t have scripted it any better.

Trojans begin the season 5-1 overall following a strong team performance at the Colorado River Invitational Tournament in Needles, California.

Even against Nevada’s powerhouse program Bishop Gorman, PVHS freshman pitcher Jaycie Hayes continues to prove she belongs during a 2-2 tie, complete game performance.
