Cleaning up the town, one block at a time

A special thanks goes out to the folks who made last weekend’s mini-cleanup prior to the Fall Festival happen.

We’d especially like to thank Judge Kimberly Wanker from the 5th District Court who came out with 20 Community Service volunteers to cleanup, not only on Saturday, September 21st, but also made sure the job was finished by coming back out Sunday morning as well to finish the job.

We also would like to acknowledge the help of the Nye Community Coalition’s Ameri Corps members who attended as well.

Another special thanks goes out to Pahrump Valley Disposal, for the use of their dumpsters for trash disposal, Valley Electric Association who supplied water for the participants, Home Depot for the donation of gloves and Tropical Smoothies for the coupons for free smoothies.

For a cleaner Pahrump!

Respectfully Yours,

John Pawlak

Chair, Nuclear Waste and Environmental Advisory Board

As a moderate Republican I am just shaking my head at the mindless automatons we actually call elected officials who have been storming around causing complete chaos on Capitol Hill for two weeks.
