Sheriff’s office investigating Horizon Market robbery

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a robbery incident that took place earlier this week at a local convenience store.

At around 7:29 p.m. Tuesday night, sheriff’s deputies and detectives responded to the Horizon Market on 2050 North Highway 160 in reference to a robbery.

Through their investigation, the sheriff’s office concluded that an adult African American male entered the business minutes earlier and “forcibly” took money from the cash register before fleeing the area in a gold colored Dodge Durango.

A photo of the suspect, as well as his vehicle were captured on the store’s video surveillance cameras.

The store clerk was not injured during the incident.

The unidentified suspect faces a burglary charge once apprehended.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and urge anyone with information regarding the case to contact NCSO detective Cox at 775-751-7000 or via email at ncso_detectives@co.nye.nv.us.
