First Job: "Working for my mother in the family store at eight years old."

Background: "I have been involved in businesses since I was eight years old. I worked in the family boutique, selling clothing and other items when I lived in the Philippines. In my home country we also had a large restaurant. In 1999, my family opened up Furniture Warehouse, which I will still be running. I took college classes and got a degree in business administration."

Years in business: "I have been working in family-owned businesses for 45 years."

Personal: "I like being with other people and just hanging out. I am into playing Mahjong too and I like to sing karaoke with friends."

Business climate: "I feel Pahrump needs a place where people can go and eat without having to go to a casino. A family-oriented place that has no smoking or drinking. I feel Pahrump needs a place like this. Also, our restaurant will be affordable and be a place where families can eat and have birthday parties. We also hope to have karaoke here. I think we will be successful because no one else has a place like this."
