Demand outpaces supply for Christmas dinners

More than 1,000 meals were prepared and served for the NyE Communities Coalition’s annual free Christmas dinner on Sunday as volunteer servers kept the meals flowing to a packed house. Approximately 500 of the meals were used for homebound deliveries. The coalition had to purchase 19 additional meals from Denny’s to feed all the home requests from seniors.
