Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Aug. 29 – Sept. 2. Two percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday – Grilled cheese sandwich, tomato slices, salad, fruit, minestrone soup;

Tuesday — Bacon-wrapped pepper, Spanish rice, refried beans, glazed carrots, apple slices, churros, soup;

Wednesday — Barbecued chicken, sour cream potato salad, steamed spinach, corn, whole wheat bread, banana, soup;

Thursday — Baked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, green salad, wheat bread, pears, soup;

Friday – Baked cod, rice pilaf, carrots, lettuce and tomato salad, wheat roll, fruit cup, soup.

ACTIVITIES

Monday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.;

Tuesday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday — Nevada Eye Physicians, 10 a.m.; Crafty Ladies, 12:30 p.m.; Blind Support, 12:30;

Thursday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m., Rippets (knitting and crocheting), 10 a.m., haircuts, 1 p.m.;

Friday — T.O.P.S. meeting, 7 a.m., exercise class, 9:30 a.m., bridge, 12:30 p.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Aug. 29 – Sept. 2:

Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — Baked pork chop, herbed potatoes, green beans, applesauce, seven-grain bread;

Tuesday — Grilled chicken bratwurst, whole wheat hot dog bun, hot German potato salad, German slaw, fresh orange sections;

Wednesday — Spaghetti and meat sauce, mixed veggies, garlic toast, steamed spinach, apricot halves;

Thursday — Herb-baked chicken, baked potato, fat-free sour cream and chives, herbed veggie medley, whole wheat bread, peach butter, fresh apple;

Friday — Pancakes, scrambled eggs, pears, oatmeal, orange juice.

Beatty Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Aug. 29 – Sept. 2:

Two percent milk available. Meals are served at the Beatty Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday and Thursday.

Tuesday — Grilled chicken bratwurst, whole wheat hot dog bun, hot German potato salad, German slaw, fresh orange sections;

Thursday — Herb-baked chicken, baked potato, fat-free sour cream and chives, herbed veggie medley, whole wheat bread, peach butter, fresh apple.
