Meadows Bank ranked one of the healthiest

A bank with a local branch is among the strongest performing financial institutions in the country according to one organization's findings.

Meadows Bank, with a local branch at 3250 S. Highway 160, was named to the 2015 list of the Top 200 Healthiest Banks in America according to DepositAccounts. The institution, which includes Las Vegas area branches, came in at No. 35 in the list of 200 banks.

DepositAccounts.com is one of the largest and most in-depth online publications in the U.S., dedicated to banking/savings information for consumers and covers all 14,000 federally insured banks and credit unions.

Standing out in all of the primary evaluation categories, Meadows Bank stood out particularly well in the Texas Ratio, the rate of a bank's credit questions, and Capitalization rates, is the ratio of Net Operating Income to property asset value.

Also used in the evaluation was the Texas Ratio Trend, and deposit growth of each bank included. Deposit growth was the only section that Meadows Bank received anything besides an A-plus rating, netting a C, due to $5.58 million less in deposits, or -1.37 percent over last year.
