The ‘17 Silver State Chili Cook-Off

The Silver State Chili Cook-off on Saturday had 10 local amateur entries and 24 professional entries from the International Chili Society.
Organizer Ron Frazier said upward of 9,000 tastings took place during the International Chili Society’s (ICS), Silver State Chili Cook-off on Saturday in Petrack Park in Pahrump.
Frazier noted at least 10 local amateur contestants competed while 24 professionals from the chili society also participated. Several professionals traveled to Pahrump from distant locations.
A total of 22 vendors also set up shop at Petrack Park during the event.
