A thank you from Rick Marshall

First, I want to thank my wife and family for their support and perseverance during this campaign. I want to thank the incredible volunteers that put in so much time and effort in my campaign. You are truly wonderful at what you do and it did not go unnoticed.

It has been said that time is our most precious resource. Once given, it cannot be returned. I am humbled by your generosity and tireless efforts. I could not even begin to put a value on the time you gave as a volunteer. Thank you from Kristin and I.

To my campaign manager Laura Billman, thank you for your tireless efforts, your humor and giving of your time.

To Rick and Grace Dugan, thank you for putting yourselves on the “front lines.” It was something I am sure we will never forget.

Thank you to the citizens of Nye County for attending the candidate nights, the debates, the events and welcoming us into your homes. Your kind words of encouragement were greatly appreciated.

Finally, congratulations to Sharon Wehrly, Nye County Sheriff-Elect.

Rick Marshall

“Old white men” running Congress?

This is for all those who agree with Geraldo Rivera and his media cronies that the Republican Congress is going to be run by “old white men.”

Here is a list of some Liberal “old white men”: Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Steny Hoyer, Tom Brokaw and Bob Schieffer.

Face it — our “old white men” gave your “old white men” a BEATIN’. So SUCK IT UP.

This past weekend marked the Labor Day holiday and the traditional end to summer. It also means that we are inching forward on bringing 2019 to a close and the beginning of 2020. 2020 is a census year and that will have far-reaching effects on communities and in politics.
