Spring Valley 46, Pahrump Valley 41 – At Pahrump, Eric Hansen scored 16 points as the Grizzlies held off the Trojans.

Tahj Whitley added 10 points for Spring Valley, which trailed 21-20 at halftime and outscored Pahrump 15-6 in the third quarter.

Danny Foss led the Trojans with 16 points.

Girls basketball

Spring Valley 50, Pahrump Valley 23 – At Pahrump, Alyssa Scott scored 13 points as the Grizzlies defeated the Trojans.

Lynnae Wilds had 11 points for Spring Valley, which led 17-2 after one quarter.

Lauren Ashford scored seven points for Pahrump.

Special Olympics

Our Bocce Ball Season will begin on Feb. 25 from 3:30 to 5:00 at the Bocce Ball Courts located at Ian Deutch Memorial Park. Our program is open to anyone with special needs with a minimum age of 8 years.

High school rodeo returning to Pahrump

The Nevada State High School Rodeo Association will return to Pahrump this weekend at McCullough Rodeo Arena, in conjunction with the 7th annual Pahrump Balloon Festival at Petrack Park.

Baseball: Trojans top Pahrump Valley alumni in annual matchup

Participation was down a bit, but that didn’t take away from the school spirit, camaraderie and just plain fun of the annual Maroon and Gold Alumni Baseball Game on Saturday at Trojan Field.

The “Bowling for Heroes” event, held Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Pahrump Nugget Bowling Center to benefit Wounded Warrior Project was a huge success, according to event organizer Denise Flanagan.
