Planned medical pot dispensary holding informative community event on Saturday

Nye County’s only medical marijuana dispensary is set to hold an event this weekend aimed at answering any questions locals might have about the business or medical marijuana itself.

The Grove Wellness Center is hosting a free community event in the parking lot of their business space located at 1521 E. Basin Road Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 pm.

The gathering is aimed at educating those who might be interested in their service, or residents who aren’t sure what the medical marijuana field is all about.

There will be interactive activities that will aid The Grove’s presentation, and several booths with organizations who can supplement what the dispensary has to say.

Attendees are encouraged to gather information on what medical conditions are approved to obtain medical marijuana, what the benefits of medicating with cannabis, what state regulations surrounding medical pot are, how to obtain a medical marijuana card, and how to become more involved with the medical marijuana subject.

Attending the event will be The Grove’s CEO, Demetri Kouretas and COO, Brian Hyun, We Can 702 Representatives, Connor and Connor Attorneys at Law, Dr. Reefer, Women Grow, and Elevate Magazine.

Hyun explained that the dispensary is looking forward to being in town, as it should be a more intimate relationship than that of a larger city like Las Vegas.

“I think we will be involved in the local community,” Hyun said. “With it being a smaller community (compared to Las Vegas) there is more opportunity to (interact).”

The Grove offers medical marijuana card holders the highest quality product, patient support and education at its 2,500 square foot, state-of-the-art retail store and serving the 43,000 residents in Pahrump. The Grove controls the entire growth and production process from seed to harvest to consumption, which ensures the highest quality and efficacy of medical marijuana for patient use.

In addition to the educational element, there will be food and music provided for those who attend.
