LETTER TO THE EDITOR: In praise of our hospital

In praise of our hospital

On June 25th my mother-in-law, (mom to me), was very anemic and required a transfusion of three units of blood to build up her iron. She was admitted to Desert View Hospital and spent three days there. I cannot say enough about the care she received and how the staff treated her. She could not have had any better service in another hospital.

After her blood count came up to normal she was to be released. However, her left lower leg was swollen and the doctor would not release her until a sonogram was performed. Well, thank God for that doctor! She had a blot clot in her lower left leg. We had no idea, even though her lower left leg had been swollen for quite some time. We thought she was just retaining fluid for not moving around enough. God willing it will dissolve with medication she is now taking and everything will come back to normal. We’ll find out when another sonogram is done by her hematologist.

The professionalism of the staff was above and beyond expectations. I’m very happy that Desert View Hospital is here in our valley. Some people feel they aren’t being treated properly, I for one can say they did a fantastic job for our mom Lillian Connors.

Thank you all who made our mom very comfortable during her stay and God bless you all.

James and Barbara Cornell

Letters to the Editor

I am happy that the election campaigning is over, but most of all the absence of political ads from both parties, blatantly lying about their opponents.
