Police seek suspect in KFC robbery

Local police have identified a potentially violent suspect and a separate person of interest in the armed robbery of Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant this month.

A nationwide warrant for the arrest of local resident Donald R. McFadden has been issued for the armed robbery of the KFC on State Route 372 on Oct. 12.

Authorities also want to contact Stacie Ann Johnson, who police believe is in a dating relationship with McFadden but not a suspect in the robbery at this time.

Detective Eric Murphy said both individuals are believed to still be in the Pahrump area.

“It is believed that Mr. McFadden recently committed an act of domestic violence against Johnson, with injuries to Johnson sending her to the hospital for treatment,” he said. “Detectives have received information that these two are traveling with one another. Ms. Johnson is just a person of interest and not a suspect at this time.”

Detectives said the Kentucky Fried Chicken at Highway 372 just west of Highway 160 was robbed by two armed men just after 10 p.m., on Oct. 12.

Both McFadden and Johnson have managed to evade detectives and Murphy said the department is appealing to the community to contact authorities if they have information on the pair.

McFadden has many identifiable tattoos, including a swastika on his left elbow, “FTW” on his neck; devil horns on the top of his head, tear drops below his right eye and words over each eyebrow.

The sheriff’s office asks that anyone knowing the location of the subjects please call detectives at 775 751-7000 or email to ncso_detectives@co.nye.nv.us.

The search for the couple comes just days after two suspects linked to the robbery, which reportedly yielded about $3,800, were arrested Friday following an anonymous tip.

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office is withholding information on the arrest while they search for McFadden, who they believe to be armed and potentially violent.

Nye County Assistant Sheriff Rick Marshall said the arrest of the unnamed suspects was made sometime Friday.

Police did not say if the suspects or McFadden have been linked to the three armed robberies at two Horizon Markets in the past month. Soon after the KFC was robbed, a Horizon Market less than a mile west of the restaurant was robbed at gunpoint.

The Horizon Market at 2030 Bell Vista Ave., was robbed at gunpoint Sept. 30 and Oct. 17.
