Brannon Alexander Girnat was charged on Nov. 7 with burglary while in possession of a firearm, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, grand larceny, and first degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, all felonies.

Timothy Lester Liapes was charged on Nov. 6 with possession of a controlled substance; unlawful use of a controlled substance; opening or maintaining place for unlawful sale, gift, or use of controlled substance(s); and offer, attempt, or commission of unauthorized act(s) relating to controlled substance, all felonies.

Andres Gonzalo Yepez was charged on Nov. 17 with trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance (low-level methamphetamine), three counts; offer, attempt, or commission of unauthorized act(s) relating to controlled substance, first offense, three counts; possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (schedules I and II) first offense, three counts; possession of a controlled substance, first offense, three counts; conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, first offense, three counts, all felonies.

Jennifer Baca was charged on Nov. 17 with trafficking in a schedule I controlled substance (low-level methamphetamine), three counts; offer, attempt, or commission of unauthorized act(s) relating to controlled substance, first offense, three counts; possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (schedules I and II) first offense, three counts; possession of a controlled substance, first offense, three counts; conspiracy to violate the uniform controlled substance act, first offense, three counts, all felonies.

William Gary Galemore was charged on Nov. 7 with ex-felon in possession of firearm(s), a felony.

Jason Marvin McClain was charged on Nov. 13 with battery by a prisoner, a felony.

Abraham Soltero Reyes was charged on Nov. 13 with failing to appear, a felony.

Mathew Clayton Field was charged on Nov. 20 with reckless driving, driving without a valid license and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, first offense, all misdemeanors.

Shannon Wayne Sweat was charged on Nov. 20 with driving under the influence of alcohol and movement and signals for turning, both misdemeanors.

Desiree Flores was charged on Nov. 18 with driving under the influence of alcohol and unsafe vehicle (license plate lamp), both misdemeanors.

US 95 head-on crash kills one in Nye County

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash along US 95 at approximately 2 a.m. on Monday morning, May 13, according to Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Services Chief Scott Lewis.
