The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Aug. 19 — Aug. 23: 2 percent milk and juice available daily:
Monday — Salisbury steak, potatoes au gratin, cauliflower, pineapple cake;
Tuesday — barbecue chicken, baked potato, creamed peas, rice pudding;
Wednesday — stuffed bell peppers, mixed veggies, ice cream;
Thursday — sweet and sour pork, rice, peas and carrots, chocolate cake;
Friday — cheeseburgers, French fries, corn, ice cream.
Activities
Monday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.; haircuts, 9 a.m.; poker, 1 p.m.;
Tuesday — estate planning seminar, 9:30 a.m.;
Wednesday — Walmart, 9:30 a.m.; United Healthcare team meeting, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.;
Thursday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; Stovall legal services, call 727-5008 for appointment;
Friday — exercise class, 10:30 a.m.; bridge, 12:30 p.m.;
Amargosa Valley Senior Center
The menu (subject to change) for the week of Aug. 19 — Aug. 23:
Two percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday — baked stuffed pork chops, yams, limas and peas, garden salad, low-sodium Italian dressing, fruit cocktail;
Tuesday — chilli relleno casserole, beef tacos, ranch-style beans, green salad, oranges, chocolate chip cookies;
Wednesday — chicken broccoli rice, beet salad, apricot bran muffin, honeydew/cantaloupe fruit cup;
Thursday — country fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed veggies, green salad, lemon bars;
Friday — Breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, strawberries, coffee, orange juice, tea.
