Letter to the Editor

Thank you to the deputies of the Nye County Sheriff’s Office

I just wanted to write and say ‘thank you’ to the men and women who came to my home just before Christmas to clean up my yard and fix the leak in my roof. I’m over 85-plus years young and have great difficulty cleaning up my yard.

I wanted to say a special thank you to Deputy Adam Tippets, Detective David Boruchowitz, Deputy Harry Means, Sgt. Kelly Jackson, Deputy Tom Klenczar and Deputy John Burgstrom. Without your help, I know I would have spent another night with a leaky roof.

The dedication by these men and women who came to my need, even though they didn’t have to, means more than words can say.

I know a simple “thank you” will never be enough. I am truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and so very grateful. I know this would not have happened if I had not called the sheriff’s office.

Deputy Tippets answered all my questions and concerns and even came to check on me yesterday to be sure I was doing okay. Prior to that call, I had been looking for help for several months and was not able to find anyone who would know of someone to help me.

I still can’t believe there are people like this in the world today. They did everything I needed and so much more.
